Free computer instruction is available @ the library! COMPUTER CLASSES for beginning-level computer users are offered Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays. Sign-ups available at the library (no sign-ups by phone). Currently offering “Basic Computer,” “Beyond Basics,” “Advanced Basics,” and “Genealogy”— check at the library for dates & times. TUMBLEWEED TALES POETRY GROUP will meet here Saturday, July 5, at 10am, and every 1st Saturday! Join us at the library to share, listen, and enjoy poetry. Original poetry encouraged, or just read an old favorite! All ages welcome! And now the group offers 2 new classes! Shakespeare Made Simple! Held the 3rd Saturday of each month, 10am-12n. This casual workshop will explore plays, words, character, & history—just for fun! And Tuesdays, 4-6pm, enjoy Shakespeare Readers’ Theatre! Both are free and open to all ages.

It’s time again for the PCL SUMMER READING PROGRAM! June 10-July 16. This year’s theme: “Catch the Reading Bug!” Sign up now; free classes available for all ages. Flutter Buzzers (age 4-5) Tuesdays, 9-10am; Creepy Crawly Critters (age 6-11) Tuesdays, 10:20-11:45am OR Wednesdays 1-2:15pm (attend one session only); The Good & (B)Ugly Bugs (5th grade & up) Wednesdays, 2:30-3:30pm. Call the library for more information.

Our Favorite Authors Bookclub will meet Tuesday, July 15, at 1:30pm. This month’s author is Mary Daheim. Read anything by Ms. Daheim then come enjoy a lively discussion! New members always welcome, so bring a friend!

The Pahrump Anime Club will hold its regular meeting at the library Saturday, July 19, 12-4pm. Showings this month will be: 12:00 - Gunparade March # 3-4 ( Sub-Titled),1:00 - Inuyasha # 1-2 (English), 2:00 - Mushi-Shi # 4 (English), 2:30 - Devil May Cry # 3 (Sub-Titled), 3:00 - Phantom Memory Kurau #1-2 (English). Also this month, we are featuring “INUYASHA: A Feudal Fairy Tale.” Be sure to bring your PS2 Controllers to play. There will be prizes so be sure to enter. Also be sure to bring your Raffle tickets. There will be prizes so be sure to enter. Absolutely no unaccompanied children under the age of 10.
This month’s Movie Day will be Saturday, July 26. Our feature this month is “The Sword in the Stone” (rated G). Free family fun!

Starting July 28, we will again host the Scholastic Book Fair, featuring Clifford, the Big Red Dog! Come find your favorite books—something for everyone! Through August 8.

This month the library will have a Foster Family Clothing Drive, to collect necessary items for local foster families. Please bring your new or gently-used items to the library during April. All items will be used by local agencies.
